About Farrokh Nazerian
Farrokh Nazerian, a man of multifaceted talents and experiences, was born in Tehran in 1941. His early life was marked by challenges that shaped his perspective and fueled his creative spirit. From a young age, he displayed a remarkable poetic talent, finding solace and expression in the world of words.
At the age of 16, Nazarian embarked on a career in journalism, contributing his writing to various magazines, including “Khandaniha,” “Asia-ye Javan,” “Omide Iran,” and “Khoshe,” as well as the Kayhan newspaper. His passion for writing transcended financial considerations, driven by a deep sense of personal satisfaction.
In addition to his literary pursuits, Nazarian was actively involved in international trade. He established the trading company IPEC in England, facilitating trade between Iran and England. It was during this time that he met his wife, and together they built a life in England, where their three children were born.
Later, Nazarian and his family migrated to the United States, settling in Santa Barbara. Throughout his life’s journey, spanning Iran, England, and the United States, he continued to write poetry and personal reflections in Persian. These writings offer a glimpse into his inner world and the experiences that shaped his outlook on life.
Nazarian’s travels to various corners of the globe enriched his understanding of the human experience, infusing his poetry with a unique blend of cultural insights and universal themes. His poems possess a distinctive beauty, capable of transporting readers to a place of tranquility and reflection, away from the demands of everyday life.
Driven by a life filled with rich experiences, in 2023 he penned and published his memoir Do I Dare, a testament to pushing personal boundaries and trusting oneself.
